Description

Life and Death 's Abstraction is a vast space consisting of a large island with a central mountain. Atop the central mountain are trees resembling willows, with a lake at the area of the peak. In the lake, you can see a reflection of the other side.

On one side of the reflection, the land and trees are black, and the leaves are glowing white. On the other side of the reflection, the hand and trees are white, with the leaves a void black that draws in nearby light so as to appear like a dark glow.

Visitors who are living beings will be present on the side with black trees and white leaves; on the other side will be apparitions of their souls. Visitors who are dead, such as lost souls collected by Death, will find themselves on the side with white trees and black leaves; on the other side will be ghostly wisps reflecting their presence. Edeia and other spirit beings can freely move between either side by crossing the lake or the surrounding sea.

The central lake can be made into a portal to the ethereal plane, though this must be done deliberately by Life and Death.
