The entrance to Solas’ Abstraction usually appears similar to that of its demesnes paired with the effects of Dread Snarl, though the effect is stronger than in the demesnes. An unwelcome visitor may be met with vague hostility coming from a darkness and a twisted forest. The landscape in the distance appears strange and distorted – is it a twisting cluster of branches, a cave, an abandoned warehouse? Getting closer doesn't help, as you realize you can’t even tell what material it’s made of. The trees sway without a breeze, or fail to move despite high winds; sometimes things shift slightly when you look away, but it’s never consistent, and you never manage to catch the same thing moving twice. The hostility feeds off of you: it feels hard to breathe, but you can’t tell if that’s the thinness of the air or your own fear suffocating you.
