Description Hey, what's up everybody! Here I present the first of three (possibly four) parts of an immense collection of fabric patterns that can be utilised in Photoshop.

Yes, for the small, small price of ONE MILLION dA POINTS (Okay, who wrote that down...? )

I mean, for the reasonable price of one view and one download (that means, it's completely free!) you can gain access to a massive collection of fabric patterns that can be used for Photoshop Elements, as well as Creative Suite and GIMP. (Actually, if someone could check which programs' versions work for me so I know for sure, that'd be much appreciated.)

I have made these in Photoshop Elements 9, and you can bet there's plenty more where that came from.

Featured in this package are a compilation of fabrics of several different colours, including:
- Athletic Mesh (Ideal for swimwear, sportswear and activewear)

- Chiffon (Great for evening wear and very popular for blouses, ribbons, scarves and lingerie)

- Cotton Lycra (T-shirts, tank tops, activewear, yoga and leggings)

- Cotton Rib (Ideal for T-shirts and tank tops)

- CrepΓ© Back Satin (Ideal for women's gowns, blouses, lingerie, baseball jackets, upholstery and more)

- Fake Fur (Should keep you warm during the winter-time)

- Fake Leather (Leather Jackets, pants, bags/purses and furniture)

- Felt (Great for craft, costumes and decoration)

- Fleece (Blankets, jackets, athletic clothing and tracksuits)

Bear in mind that all of these are great for designing those items and not necessarily obtaining them.

Anyway, hope you enjoy this collection and please stay tuned for the rest of the patterns coming very soon!

In the meantime, peace!

EDIT: I think it would be more convenient for myself and everyone else (if you're interested of course) if I link my other fabrics patterns to this one. So here goes:

---> UPDATE, UPDATE, UPDATE!!! <---
G'day everybody, an update regarding these patterns. When I originally made them, they were one size only (500x500 pixels) but this new journal entry I've made (See here: [link] ) will allow you to create sizes applicable for any project. (Small as 64x64 or large as 1024x1024, your choice.)

Thanks very much for the love, and hope you make great use out of them!

UPDATE (6th April 2013) - Yahoo, my first deviation to reach 1,000 views! What a great start so far.

Do you have one in your amazing collection of a jersey mesh, like the fabric of a soccer/football jersey?

Ooh, it's been a bit of a while actually since I've got asked about these.

For the actual pattern itself, no, I don't believe it's in any of the fabric collections I've got here.

However, there are a few patterns that are supposed to be good for sportswear and active-wear, which soccer jerseys could fall under.

If I had to guess, I'd think about Holographic Dots or Holographic Triangles, using an overlay or something, for perhaps shinier jerseys.

For more cloth or material based jerseys, perhaps the Twist Yarn or Spandex, fiddling with opacity, overlays and/or other patterns.

Again, these are guesses, as most of this was self-taught. I don't know what program you use, but I think with a little experimenting, it might just work. Give them all a go, and you might end up surprised.

Okay! I use Photoshop CS6. I'll look for those suggestions.

Sorry for a bit of a late reply, but just to let you know that I referred to other patterns from that same collection, split across five parts including what you were just on. In alphabetical order:

Photoshop Fabrics Collection - G to L

Photoshop Fabrics Collection - M to S (Part 1)

Photoshop Fabrics Collection - M to S (Part 2)

Photoshop Fabrics Collection - M to S (Final Part)

In addition, I'm sure there would be other fabric-style patterns that exist on DeviantART, perhaps ones even better suited for soccer & football jerseys. At any rate, good luck, and all the best!

I did not see where you have a licensing process, I was wondering if I have your permission to use these fabric patterns in the creation of clothing design for virtual world, Second Life, Inworldz, Zandramas etc. Β Also would like to be able to use them to create my personal listing templates for my Ebay Store. Β Please let me know if I have your permission to do these things.

AussieDidge In reply to QwirkySnoodle [2014-12-23 09:25:38 +0000 UTC]

My licensing process is located under the deviation statistics, but as long as I give permission, they don't need to be followed. And if other people feel this set's good enough to merit better creative ideas, then I say go wild and make a name for yourself.

They were only meant as a convenient set that I could use for characters I wanted to recreate, and also give people a certain "feel" for the fabric before going out and purchasing it.

As a fair use or fair dealing kind of thing, just let others know where you got it from. That's all I ask.

Go crazy, mate! That's the reason I made those patterns oh so long ago... For more creative minds than mine to really let their imagination loose.

They are, aren't they? Can't say they're entirely mine though. Β

I basically just saved a bunch of pictures on my computer and edited them into pattern files. I see them as a huge convenience to me, and I'm sure everyone else who wants to use 'em.

Thanks for the comment and take care!

Glad you like it, mate! And it links to the other patterns I've made as well... About 400 patterns in total, at least a couple dozen patterns, in many different colours.

Go wild! See what you can come up with.

r they seamless?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AussieDidge In reply to MsGabby [2013-03-15 00:08:39 +0000 UTC]

Honestly, I wouldn't know what to look for in whether they're seamless or not. Sorry for the lack of help.

I would believe some are seamless, depending on the fabric itself (like satin or something) while others are not. Most of the patterns I created (from this site: [link] ) were from the spandex section, and I added some extra colours as well. Thinking about it, maybe most of them have creases or seams of some kind... Again, I apologise for the lack of help.

My only advice is to experiment, see if you can find any fabrics that suit your purposes, and let me know how it all goes. If I cannot help you, there are SEVERAL other members far more experienced (and hard-working ) than I am in creating fabrics. Just look around, you'll get your mind blown with some of the stuff that's out there.

*On a side note, I have placed tips on re-adjusting their pattern sizes to suit any project (hopefully) but they are mainly patterns which work to suit my purposes, and hopefully the purposes of everyone else here. Using different impressionist brushes on Photoshop programs COULD (bit of emphasis) do the trick.*

Thank you for your interest and please, keep me posted. Hopefully my patterns can help you in one way or another.

Take care,
AussieDidge.

AussieDidge In reply to SakuraiGetsumori77 [2013-02-23 06:48:51 +0000 UTC]

You don't need a degree in art and design to use my patterns or other patterns you know. I just experiment with stuff and see what works and what doesn't work as well. And I keep doing so, gaining valuable experience along the way. Same goes for brushes.

There are also plenty of Youtube tutorials and even tutorials here on dA that you could check out to get an idea on the basics and even more advanced techniques later on. But seriously, don't fret that you're inexperienced in Photoshop, we all were once, or some haven't even bothered to try at all.

Never be too afraid to try something new.

Maybe I should've charged the million points after all... Hey, it's only worth a few thousand bucks all up, per package!

On second thought, maybe not.

I'm sure there'll be more patterns and other stuff coming soon. After all, why not provide tools for the more creative types on DeviantArt?

Certainly my creativity has been enhanced from the numerous tools on this website. What better way to share that love back?

Heh, well... I wouldn't call myself an inspiration, but I really appreciate the compliment.

It's the results that speak for themselves. A thousand page views and 20+ watchers in a month? What other motivation do I need?

Sure I'm dedicating way more time, but that very dedication has paid off handsomely well, and I hope will continue to do so.

Certainly, for a more professional artist, someone like you could use all the attention and recognition you could get.

Well I just have, so yeah, don't sell yourself short my friend. There are enough cynical people out there who do that for you anyway, and even so who are they? If I say you've inspired me, I truly mean it. I try not to placate anyone, especially those I respect. But I guess I appreciate the humility you have, and appreciate the compliments you've given me. I take them as sincere and they mean a lot, thank you.

Thanks again. And I sure as hell ain't gonna sell myself short... I've fought tooth and nail to get to where I am, and I know I've still got a battle ahead of me. Fuck the opinions of those unimportant people... I'm going to be a success in this world... you either want to join me on my journey to get there, or you don't.

And you are welcome, you have a knack for artwork.

I believe some people post older cartoons on Youtube, but they never last forever so get 'em while they're hot.

It's how I got exposed to some really good game shows coming out of the United Kingdom, such as The Cube, The Exit List and The Chase.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Chris-Bennier In reply to AussieDidge [2013-02-09 21:25:28 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I guess I just never think to go do that. I've got an Animaniac's movie, actually still have the vhs, lol. We just watched it now that I remember sometime last year. I just don't think often to relive those times. Every now and then it's great nostalgia trip to do so. You've more exposure than me, I don't know any of those shows, lol.

AussieDidge In reply to Chris-Bennier [2013-02-09 23:36:59 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, Wakko's Wish, if I recall. Although more a recollection of their old gags and so forth, their gags were so good to begin with that it made for good times.

Oh yeah, it's wonderful nostalgia. Something that can be real hard to beat.

I believe those game shows could be around somewhere... but damn it, they were taken down a while back. I wonder if they've been replaced?
