And here I am again with another drawing akin to my admirance for Nicktoons: Battle for Volcano Island. I did encounter some struggles with getting the character and background satisfactory but I was able to make things work after hours of labor.

This time I tried my hand at doodling up my favorite Danny Phantom character — Sam Manson. The background here is for the Calamity Cove level, which is where she’s found and first becomes playable in the game, specifically the cutscene where she fights off sand monsters before she joins SpongeBob, Danny and Patrick on the mission to find Squidward. I had some initial trouble trying the foliage like the grasses on the nearby sandbar, but I feel I did a great job with the background.

As for Sam herself, while I do think I made her torso too wide looking back (and accidentally making one arm appear out of socket ), I'm feeling satisfied with my first drawing of her. An all original drawing, no tracing to speak of.
