is currently holding a contest midna01.deviantart.com/journal… of her OC with the Pokemon Greninja and this is pretty much my go at it
finished way earlier than expected, but after my exam today all I wanted to do is draw :'D

Awesome artwork, you've done very well on both of them. There's a nice contrast between the cheerful trainer and her very determined partner. The colours are really pretty too.

I had a chesnaught which was pretty strong too. generally I really liked the gen 6 starters^^

Me too; in fact, the generation 6 starters were the first ones I really liked since Gen 2. Gen 3's were nice, but I wasn't as fond of them for some reason, then 4 and 5 sort of lost me.

gen 4 I found aweful personally, I completely replaced the starter in that one XD serperior in gen 5 however became one of my all time favs

I found Samurott to be the best of the lot (even though that's not saying much) in Gen 5, on account of the fact Serperior had virtually no attack power and Emboar's defences and speed were horrid. I do agree about Gen 4, Empoleon was uninspiring, Torterra was a bit awkward to use (and it was horrible against water types, due to the fact it was a) slower than them, generally and b) heavily weak to Ice, and most Water types pack Ice Beam) and Infernape was just a Blaziken rehash with a bit more speed.
I will always love Totodile though; it was my first ever Pokemon.

i dont care abouts stats at all, for me its all about the design and serperior takes the cake for that one I think XD

I can't deny that, it does have a good design. I admit I'm only looking at the gameplay elements in some cases - yet at the same time I'm completely unable to talk as I like both Ariados and Beedrill, which are early-game Bug-types with poor stats.
