With "show accurate" mane and tail. Been wanting to do this for months and finally got around to it. I'm very happy with the result. Sorry my camera can't handle shiny. IMO it looks great in person though. Exactly what I was aiming for.------

So yeah... I take it almost personally that Fluttershy's blind bag is just a cheap repaint of Rainbow Dash's sculpt. I'm often shy and soft-spoken just like my girl Fluttershy so I know if she were real she'd whisper "It's okay, I don't really need my own sculpt, I don't want to be a bother..." but inside she'd be holding back tears and feeling left out. She's one of the Mane 6 ponies and deserves her own unique design like the others gosh darn it!!! So here you go Fluttershy, your beautiful mane and tail and a full repaint to the best of my abilities!

AMAZING job. I've got all of the Mane 6 exept Fluttershy. One of the main reasons I don't have Fluttershy yet (aside from her being sold out everywhere I go. She is best pony) is that I think that Hasbro should have made an actual sculpt for her, not just repainted Rainbow Dash's sculpt. Lazy bastards.
This is just another example of how the fanbase can make better toys than the TOY COMPANY that created the show.

Thanks so much for the wonderful comment <3 The process was pretty much what you'd expect. I started with the original Fluttershy mini, cut off the mane and part of the tail with x-acto knife and rebuilt those parts out of sculpey. Wrap some tin foil loosely around her hind legs for extra support and follow the baking instructions to cure the clay in the oven. To be honest I'm not sure if it's even safe to bake plastic figures like her, so at the very least make sure you're working in a well ventilated area and do not let her burn (poor Fluttershy lol). The ponies go all floppy when they bake, it's weird and can cause issues if they cool down in a slightly different pose. Use a primer followed by acrylics to paint, and finish with a water-based seal of your choice.
Oddly enough Fluttershy was the last one I found as well. I ended up at Walmart (BLEH!) as a last resort and they had three in the box so I bought two, planning to customize this one. ToysRUs, Target, and Meijer all carry mlp blind bag figures too, and I believe every series has included Fluttershy but she's never had her own unique sculpt yet that I know of.

My brother wants me to make another and see how much I can get for it on ebay. Considering I've seen a few not as detailed go for $160 or more it's a tempting thought...But she was a lot of work and I have trouble reproducing these things for some reason, so I probably won't.
