So after AGES im back with something fresh and new... hope is worth the wait... my apologies...So this is a sort of practice for coloring Creons ( ) linework, Im gonna do his Ryu next. This one yet AGAIN turned out far to detailed and dark for what I was trying to do... The next one will be much much better I hope... Plus more capcom looking with a hint of fantasy perhaps... That glow really threw off this one from what I was picturing...

yeah thats what i was going for but im not too happy with how this one turned out... the lighten glow layer really destroyed alot of the colors on caravaggio and as my friend shane pointed out, takes the focal point off the character and onto the stalf... maybe not entirely a bad thing but not intentional (a bad thing) hehe

haha yeah i know what you mean, i just did a coloring for this dante pic that joe mad did, i kept thinkin about how awesome the picture was then it hit me.... Color It!

ah inking is hard haha ;O im yet to get a style of inking which im happy with

photoshop may do it all but i have yet to find a good way to ink in it

well theres a few that i know of, one the simplest using leveling to make the linework darker and cut the mid "gunge" out, this ones a bit cras as you get that look like conan and dale keowns work where the image doesnt seem as sharp and potent without the solid linework
then there is the wacom method where you literally ink it with a brush in photoshop onto a new later... this method seems very hard to me, id never even try it...
and then theres another way using vectors, i myself have no idea how to use vectors in PS(or you could do it in illustraiter as i know a few inkers do thesedays) this would be very handy as you could potentially adjust the linework extremly intricately and changing things would be VERY VERY simple...

umm, why does this TMNT have a title resembling a pasta dish?? And didn't Michaelangalo have the orange bands? Man I'm diggin the colours on the B&W background. I quite like the glow, although I think it steals the focus from the big green guy. Feel free to ignore the first ... and second questions there, just wonderin hehe

yeah the glow totally spoils it... im gonna cut all use of lighten layers out of my work from now on i think

so its a no go on the glows hey? I think the lighting layer works well, you just gotta be cautious not to over use it.

yeah this was much the same heh i had alot of momentum at the beginning but BOY does it die after 2 weeks solid of 9am-midnight with only breaks for food, toilet and the arvo kick of a footy ;O eesh... i was very very burnt out... well i say was but i think im over it now... just had to get the finished and move on i guess ;O
