Description While i was working on this i decided to make a Progress Sheet to show how i made this.

Top Left: Stick Figure. This was just me having fun with the pose, and it's not much of a stick figure but that's because Skywing being the plump huggable creature that she is, i couldn't just leave it as a stick figure so i also made some round parts in this so i can get the body right. Along with the wings, they are better drawn like this instead of just sticks

Bottom Left: Rough Sketch. Now this has to be my favorite  part of making this, but also the most challenging.(Second being the stripes and color blends) I had to color code different body parts on different layers so i can easily hide some layers that overlap too much in one area.
Magenta: Head, Torso.
Green: Wings.
Red: Tail.
Blue: Detailed Lines for pattern placement and claws.

Top Right: Lineart. As you can probably see, i altered some parts to make them look a bit more natural *Cough* Tail end *Cough* I started from the head to body all the way down to tail and finished the wings. The claws were drawn as nubs before i began making the claws. The long whiskers were drawn last because they are supposed to be in front of everything and would've gotten in the way if i drew them first.

Bottom Right: Colored. Here's the second hardest thing i had to do. I sampled the palette for the body color and started making the darker base colors on that and blurred them together for that blending effect. Then made two separate layers each for the two different colored stripes on it's body. after i mashed the two layers together and added the green dots. then slapped all color layers together and added shading afterwards.

And that's how this was made! I don't know if you would want me to make more of these kinds of submissions, maybe i will depending on the art work and how long it takes. Hope you like reading and maybe this could help you with some things ^^

It's like someone whose name i forgot said:

" You only become better not with mountains of good art, but mountains of bad art."

I know it doesn't make much sense with this XD I just kinda relate a bit to that with this for some reason.

Ooo, that reminds me of another story where an artist finds crumbled up pieces of paper containing beautiful art. In turn, they draw something, but then out of frustration crumbles it up and throws it behind themselves. Behind them, people pick up those crumbled pieces of paper and admire how beautiful they are. A continual cycle.

We really are our worst critics. We don't give ourselves the self-love we need. You are well on your way to becoming a marvelous artist my friend! You're doing more than many people do that's for sure! My professor once told me that people are afraid of doing art because it requires so much of your true self. They discourage because they are afraid themselves. What we do is not for the faint of heart!

That's an interesting concept but it's funny because people actually DO that. I wonder if someone's going to do that to one of my old pieces..

I agree and thank you! It means a lot to hear that. I'm usually doing things for myself but still try to take in consideration for others to get used to talking to people. (I had the most experience with Quotev) I try my best to critique myself like how i would with others. In a nice and healthy for me not to go crazy and destroy how i feel about my biggest passion.. And i try to help others with this as well but it gets really tough.. I just want everyone to have the same confidence as i when it comes to their art.

That way we can all enjoy it better together
