Virgil Hawkings or Static of DC Universe. I saw him only in cartoon, because his design in comics is slightly different. But certainly, my version is very different from his cartoon design too ^__^SAI, don't remember the time I spent.

Underrated superhero whose appearances touched on real-world issues- doesn't get the attention he deserves. SO not fair. He's my favorite superhero BECAUSE his show and comics addressed real-world problems like homelessness, guns, bullying, discrimination, dyslexia, and racism.
Dunno if he looks cooler with or without his coat.

Agreed. I notice they do that a lot. Like for example, the new TMNT cartoon is in CGI but they pic they used for it is from one of the comics.

I think I was at the end of middle school when this came out, and moved into high school. I now have it on my external hard drive and I love watching it again. the graphics were amazing, and I loved everything about it. I loved that his dad worked at a boys n girls club, I liked that it was very realistic in the sense that aside from bang babies/metahumans it was a pretty realistic show. Ritchie's dad was a biggot and a racist, but learned that maybe he was wrong...I loved the overall message of the show. my dad didnt think it was a good show at the time, but I later told him of the messages it sends to kids and he said its not that bad, but he wouldnt watch it because it is a cartoon.
Either way... sorry for that, it brought back happy memories of this character, and I must say I am amazed at your style of artwork. this is a really nice piece of work hereΒ and I love the colors and contrasts of it as well as the pose he makes.

I remember when I was six and I watched this show on Saturday morning. Probably because I had such a huge crush on Virgil ^^

u know, the 1 thing i didn't like about Static Shock was tat, they put 2 much focus on their teenage angst issues & their teenage problems way 2 much almost 2 the point of annoying.Β
Although i know they r jus trying 2 add some realness so as 2 hav the intended audience 2 relate 2 but honestly on contrary we do not like the real world much we want these 'entertainment' medias to entertain us, not bring us back to the cruel world.Β
Tat is why Ben 10 Alien Force/Ultimate Alien was more appealing 2 watch as v didn't hav 2 hear Ben,Gwen & Kevin whining about their teenage problems all the time. (McDuffie was involved in both series in case if u don't know)
.. or perhaps, it's just that we have grown up and our mind has already been set to an 'adult' mode where we relate everything to the facts and reality... maybe we just lost our imaginative and creative mind.. i don't know.. does that make sense to you?
