Description Sunrise at Lanhydrock - I found this one from way back in Sept 2007 and well seeing as I am spending most weekends visiting the place, you ought to suffer it.

It's one of those things now, god ray appears and "hey it's a Lakemans" gets shouted out. One of these days you'll be in the undergrowth and we'll ruin your shot im sure.

This is a wonderful shot.
This reminds me: What happend with your shot in this "digital camera photographer of the year" contest? Or isn't it closed so far?

Thanks, taken last year and found it lurking on my hard drive. That comp is closed and well the result I believe should have been announced yesterday but they seem to have put a big sign up saying results in Apr 09. Doubtful I got anywhere with it to be honest though.

Thats a beaut, I'm a sucker for light rays. Might benefit from a slight saturation increase or perhaps a contrasty mono ?

Bit of a bugbear with me - I have to decide whether to bump up the levels just so they look ok on DA or keep them as I like them on my Mac. Appears to be a real difference to what I hold on my Mac and what the photo looks on DA when submitted.

I'm kind of glad to hear you say that because it proves to me that I'm not the only one this happens to. I've just had some calendars printed and they've come out exactly how I imagined but the very same files used on DA have been muddy and noisy. I'm sure it never used to be like this.
Take it easy, and good luck with the comp.

It was certainly BE. One of my trips in solitude where I could breathe again.
