Description Pleistocene Crete had an indigenous genus of pygmy deer, Candiacervus.
C. ropalophorus was the smallest, being only 30 inches tall, with antlers.
Crete also had its own indigenous owl, too, the flightless Cretan Ground Owl, Athene cretensis.

The ground owl is the coolest thing I've ever heard of. *dies* Wow. I love how you use it as a scale against the deer! ^____^

Thanks, for a while, last night, I was afraid I put too many lines in C. ropalophorus' fur.
