Description The paradisostrunnid genus Glycoxiphias is found throughout Avigonia, and is the ancestral genus of Xoistrunnus of Mamo Ani, Toquo, and Vemi islands, also.
Glycoxiphias are nectar-feeders, though they do not hesitate to feed on small insects.
G. aegina (on the left) prepares to leave the flower inflorescence of Ornithomolpe rubrasmargadina, while G. caerulus continues searching for more nectar.
