Description A male Waidastrunnus pogonephores begining his territorial song, a high-pitched, nasal "nyahah-weehah-wee-naa-naa-ee" that is repeated ad nauseum throughout the species' range of the entirety of Northern Avigonia. Not to be confused with his courtship song, a high-pitched, nasal "weehah-waa-wee-nee-nee-nee-naha-neewee," which is repeated over and over again until a hen succumbs to his vocal prowess.
