Description At first glance, this creature, Opthalmoscorpio mormo of Palao, appears identical to an average Terran scorpion. However, while the "scorpions" of Tlaquanaru may bear a superficial resemblence to Terran scorpions, the similarities are few and far between. For example, Opthalmoscorpio has fairly good eyesight, as denoted by its large eyes. All Tlaquanaran scorpions are hermaphrodites, and the "stinger" is in fact, a nonvenomous ovidepositor, though they are not hesitant to stab with it if held against their will.

Here, O. mormo has caught a ponerchelonid, Myxotriton palao, and has begun eating it.

Auuuugh! that looks hurt o_o They seem to be able to trick enemies because they look so green as green as the leaf. It's possibly their habitat

Yes, being eaten alive, tail first, tends to hurt alot.
Being able to hide under loose bark helps with ambushing prey, too.
