The lactocolumbid Stegolophas onchyrhynchus travels in small flocks of 20 to 100 individuals. Small for typical lactocolumbids, at least.S. onchyrhynchus is distinguished from other lactocolumbids by their nasal knob having been modified into an elaborate, helmet-like "wig."
