I must say, this is the best dishonored mask I have seen! Great work with fine details. The surface is just amazing! How did you get the effect?

Thanks. I simply used broken sticks to get the rough look on the surface. I switched them often and alternated pressure and orientation to not get repetitive pattern. Then I used silver paint on the highlights. The material itself was already very rough and didn't smooth easily.
I'm not very happy with the overall shape (especially cheekbones) and some details I had to so it's far from best but I'm also happy with the surface. It doesn't have the plastic feeling like some of the dishonored masks I have seen.

I agree. Most of the masks you see are way to plastic but you managed to get a surface in top class. I actually plan to make a mask too so I'm just doing some minor researches. Did you use gypsum and then pierced it with broken sticks or did you use some other material? Once again, overall amazing work!
And thanks for the response.

I used some epoxy clay, similiar to Apoxie Sculpt. I used broken sticks to texturize it after it was hardened just a little but not too much.
The base of the mask is made of gypsum strips though. I made a thin mask with them that fits my face and used epoxy clay on that to shape the actual visible parts of the mask.

I'd say it's still pretty darn cool! the innacuraccy iss really minor, and it comes a bit more of small details lacking than from the overall shape so it's still got that very distinct feeling.

Holy crap.
This is probably the most accurate and realistic mask I've seen yet. Are you thinking of making more and selling them?

I didn't choose materials very cost-efficiently and it took a bit time so I think it would cost more than people would be willing to pay. Would you be interested?
It would be interesting to try again and make better and more accurate version though.

Yeah, If it was up for sale, I would definitely buy it as soon as I was able to.
