Walt was always one to push the boundaries of what animation could really do. From the live-action blending with the Alice Comedies to the combination of music and sound with the Mickey Mouse shorts to bringing color to his Silly Symphonies, every time someone would go "You fool, that'll never work!" he'd prove them wrong. But then, just at the end of December 1937, he and his staff constructed what was considered their most wildest idea yet. From the inspiration going as far back as a black-and-white movie Walt saw in Kansas City, it almost being a Silly Symphony short, Walt acting out the entire story live in front of the animators and even the studio almost running out of money begging for a bank loan, this grueling 4 years was believed by many it'd end up as a flop (even the people making it). However, the complete opposite happened, resulting in one of the biggest successes of the Disney company, one of the most important marks in cinematic history and often regarded as the greatest animated movie of all time. Released on this day 79 years ago, the first ever fully-animated feature film: Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs.
What do you know, the day before the final countdown and I come down with a headache, a fever and a cold. I really do hate myself for doing this AGAIN when I promised I wouldn't, but description's gonna have to be saved for later again. And I don't wanna to the "simplified" version where I just say everything in a great big list for this one. Rest assured, the final 10 days WILL have the descriptions no matter what. Disney's honor.
And now for some random conspiracy-level analysis on whatever. The amount of dwarfs is obviously 7, which is also the amount of days in a week. Technically speaking, we've made it through 3 weeks of December (but not in the traditional sense). Adding 7 and 3 together equals 10, which is the amount of days we have left unti- wait... I've only got TEN drawings left in this project and then................................................. it's all over?......................... Ex... excuse me a minute .
