Description
The full Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) (Officially the KO-United Armour MK2 or KO-UA-2) of the Earth Union's standard military unit, that being the Earth Union Marine, is built around Kevlar-laced fatigues. These fatigues come in various camouflaged variants (the one above is the standard base-coat). Due to the nature of the fatigues being laced with Kevlar they are able to withstand low-caliber rounds.

The standard issue for all Marines is the KO-02 helmet, which was created by Krieger-Omada Arms-Corp (A Greco-German company). The helmet itself has a polarized tactical visor with tactical housekeeping suites like a basic reticle as well as various HUD functions that are drawn directly from data taken from the Marine's ACL-Lace (A port at the back of the neck that gives vital data to any connected systems). Almost mandated by the state of much of Earth during and following the Dromean Invasion, the helmet carries various systems to filter nearby air in order for it to be breathable and is able to detect the various toxins in the area if needed.

The armour itself is made up of plating along the shoulders, chest, forearms, and lower legs--with each plate being comprised of ballistic metal plating that's designed around surviving most conventional ballistic arms up to that of the 7.62x5-FMJ as well as the rail-rounds put into use by the Dromeans.

The whole armour package is meant to emphasize mobility due to its production occurring during the middle-stages of the Dromean Invasion after the collapse of the world's various governments when movement was needed over staying power. Its design was thought up by the Greek and German armourers Konstans Omada and August Krieger, with the duo forming the Krieger-Omada Arms-Corp under the leadership of the United Earth Military that would eventually form the basis for the later Earth Union Government.

Upon the victory of the UEM on the eve of July 18th, 2109, after which the UEM formed the Earth Union Government (uniting Earth under a single governing body), the armour was so ingrained within the collective minds of the newly formed EUG that it was kept and advanced forwards with a MK2 variant that improved it's specs all around but didn't change it's aesthetic or purpose.

The armour is designed around mobility yes --but with the note of still allowing it's user defence--as such the favoured stance to maintain in combat is the kneeling position--the rear knee is placed on the ground; the other leg supports the elbow of the forward arm. This stance allows the knee of the other leg to cover the exposed abdomen, and the armour of the other leg itself to cover the crotch.

The KO-UA-1 and 2 are the design inspiration for the Telum Powered Armour series, with its appearance being mimicked by the armour in order to give a sense of continuity when Warden Super Soldiers fight alongside the rank-and-file of the EUG.
