i've been on a bit of a dry spell recently. i've been busy with school (got a 100 on my Psych exam, btw). also spriting is my main form of stress relief. so when faced with...less-than-favorable circumstances outside my control, i had two options: create a 5.0 earthquake in my house or make the token grunt pokemon for my conceptual game's villain organization. Zubat's getting its retirement.

Tuthuid moves the patterns on its mantle around to distract foes from its tail-tentacle with which it proceeds to smack them in their faces. it can stay out of water indefinitely as long as it stays moist.

i probably began to mention this somewhere, the villains are Alk'Dhuulq worshipers. they call themselves Thanatos. not Team Thanatos, just Thanatos. their goal is to bring the Great Tentacles One into our world to purge the world of strife by manually eliminating humanity's evils. which is a pretty way of saying they're going to invite an omnicidal, reality-warping squid-dragon fucking to kill all of us and leave our whole planet in ruin, followed by whatever the hell course nature takes.

all of their pokemon are tentacle-based. Tentacool, Tangela, Octillery, Nematon and this guy. i probably made something else they can use, but i can't recall off the top of my head.
