I really love the transcendence from bokeh to fine details like the creases nestling below the eye. The fibrous bits of the eye, reminding me of branches climbing up to the pupil, looks absolutely beautiful.
Photographs of eyeballs are taken time and time again, but this is really beautiful. Also, the fact that the subject is glancing away from the camera adds a lot of emotion to this. The color is very nice and whatever retouching might have been done was subtle enough for a realistic piece altogether.

There's definitely a beautiful spark captured in this photograph. Job well done.
