ok so this is the first legit artwork ive made since i turned 15 (which was like,,,, a month ago,, note how unproductive i am orz) and it was supposed to be 1. an entry for my school's art club's november event, and 2. a birthday gift for a friend (dec 5) but both of those dates have waaay past n im just here like..... well.., at least i finished it ?????btw left is my new persona !! yea an ACTUAL persona this time hahaha her names wuji/uji depending on what language ur usin (i.e. in chi its wuji ((无机)) in jap its uji ((うじ)) etc) and right is vincent 's persona !!! we are married lmao

This is very cute, I can tell how much effort you put in and the pose and whole look of the drawing is heartwarming. I particularly enjoy the expressions. I hope I might be able to help you in some ways with a couple of tips.
When it comes to shading skin and things in general, it's good to avoid going down the colour wheel towards desaturated and darker shades. You might find better luck colouring if you opt for a different hue or a different saturation, this way you can avoid the common greyish look that can come out. Also this art lacks a particular light source, and so as a result lots of it has been shaded inwards. This means shading dark areas around the edges of the colouring section with no particular direction or intention. This should be avoided! This goes for highlighting as well, if you highlight a lot, nothing is highlighted. Just take a look at the hair. I like how you put effort in fabric folds but just a tip to make things look a bit better, avoid pleating with similar width for the girls dress, adding some variation - some thicker and some thinner will make it look more interesting and less flat.
