Description Mu Ge Cuo, China, 05

Taken after a few kilometer crawl through the mountains at an elevation of more then 3 kilometers, the temperature was just above freezing yet the sun was so harsh that I stood there with a t-shirt on as I waited for the sun to illuminate the valley before me.

Mamiya 6, Mamiya 75mm f/3.5 G lens, Fuji Velvia 100F 120 sized medium format film.

the crawl must've been quite a drag considering you were carrying a mamyia haha (i got a rather old model at home and it's heavy as shit)
but it sure was worth it...absolutely amazing landscape, captured with great composition!

i remember it being like that on mt rainier when i went there as a child. i have a picture at home of my brother and sister having a snowball fight in t-shirts and jeans.

it looks really harsh....the foreground kinda reminds me of irish mountains, kinda dead and damp!

Wow, that's a beautiful shot. Really clear. I wish I could see it myself, but it does look a little like the Tormented Valley in Alaska.

T-shit?

Very beautiful scene. I know the feeling of being on a mountain and under the sun like that. It's a unique experience.

the sun was really really bright.....I went up there with a coat on, but that came off even though it was so bloody cold, sort of weird, I was sweating in the freezing weather....hah
