Description Some places people like to go fishing during their free time, some places they just like to sit around and watch TV, in China people like to gamble. There are several card games and of course Mahjong to play for people who like to gamble, which usually means people over 30 years old. These people sit here all day gambling away their money and waste just about as much time as I do sitting around on my computer. Huge gatherings of hundreds of people, both men and women, rich and poor are passing around a lot of money too. I once witnessed a guy loose 10000 rmb (about 1200 dollars) in one shot. When the average income is only a few hundred dollars a month, its pretty harsh.

I wonder if there is any gambling programs for addicts here?

I love those characteristic peoples in your photoes...and that random life stories you write on...but mostly I enjoy that huge group of people...here in Finland seems to be that many people during the greatest festivals...
GREAT photo...thanks for sharing.

I love the teeth on that one guy in the center. Nice capture. I think after I get a digital SLR that I will have to get the 17-40 f/4L

heh that guys teeth....yeah, I was wondering who would take note of that first. I took some singled out shots of him too with the 28-135 (which you can tell from the difference in quality unless you stop it down a lot) but the teeth were so strange that I held off from posting his portriat...maybe in scraps if I get around to it

Yet another great shot! What are the cards called that they are playing with? or are they just funny shaped 52card deck?
I dont gamble (much) but I know a few underground places where I can play cards with the tards. If I go I stay in the 25cent range, Im poor!, but I have seen titles of cars get put into games. Scary stuff if they dont pay up!

oh those cards...I have no idea what they are called or how they play using them but its not uncommon to see them around so I guess it must not be too hard

that guy IS cheating! In the next shot he is looking at the other guys cards and then goes and looks at the other fellas cards and the entire time is sort of making little looks of "oh wow" or "suuuuck"
