Also, can you recommend a good camera to me? I like street photography as well as close ups.

sometimes for manipulating colors I will simply alter white balance in the camera, slight enhancements work to your advantage most of the time.
For the steet photographer on a budget I highly suggest the sony f717, thats the same camera I got, its fast enough, the zoom is clean, the lens is very fast, there is very little start up time, the battery lasts forever, the auto focus works good although you will have to learn how to tweek it, and it has great close up ability. Thats a 5 mp camera. If you want to go the extra step then you can either get a dslr or a 8mp camera. I would not whole heartidly recomend a 8mp camera because they have a lot of bugs save for the canon 1d mk2. As for dslr's go, the 1d mk2 is the best street photographer camera out there, no doubt about it. But since we cant all sell out cars for a camera, the 10D is nice for serious people other wise you are good with the 300D. If you hate canon, then d70 all the way.

yeah, I would have waited too, but my dad stuck me a deal, see, im leaving in 8 days for china ya? so he wants to get a digital camera ya? my old camera is too nothing for him, so he wants a better one, he fell in love with the one that I got, soooo, when he comes to china in 3 months to visit, he is bringing me my new 8 mp camera, and im trading him for my current 5 mp
