Okay, this piece could have been so much more. The composition is okay, but I'll get to that later.
My main critique is the use of light, or lackthereof. You needed to do a few things here, first Maybe fill flash would have worked to get rid of that HUGE shadow, which totally robs this image of the saturation that it deserves; the colours on the top left horn have much better rendition than the rest of image and thats what should be uniform.
Fill flash may not cut it, either waiting for the cloud to pass by, or, if it is under some sort of roof, grabbing the skull and turning it might have been necessary (although maybne not possible).
The only other thing you could have done, was use partial metering, or spot, and expose for the actual shadow of the cow skull. The shadow takes up two thirds of the image, including the right horn, so all of that would have been properly exposed. You would have to deal with the blow outs of the left side of the image but it would still look better i'm sure.
