I think its time to reveal a bit of my current game project. It takes place before the main game I’m doing with Twinkelen  & Rote , during their childhood. 

In short, these 2 let their imagination run wild. Fighting creepy monsters with nothing but super-powered water guns.

Basically, players will be surviving waves of endless enemies while maintaining another objective which I’ll touch on later when I have more to show.

Love all the little things that helps sell the movement, and those guns seens to be packing a punch!
How far in development that demo is? Looking foward to see more of this project ^^

Thank you! Well it’s a bit hard to say atm. I still have a chunk of work to do before it’s fully playable. But I’ll be sure to keep everyone updated on that :3

Also, since you pointed out that the game happens during the character's childhoods, wouldn't it be more adequated to go with more saturated colors for the background? to evoke a more "child like" vibe?

A colorful vibe isn't what I'm going for. This is all taking place in their imagination and they're dreaming up scary battles xD

I love how the screen shakes when you fire those water guns. It makes them seem more powerful than they should be.

REEEEEEEET This looks incredible so far! It reminds me a bit of Cavestory, but at the same time has a more unique feel to it! It's definitely a game I would play! <3

Thanks! Game Maker Studio 1.4 is the tool. Been sticking with it for as long as I can remember.

Okay cool! I may try to make a simple 2D game on that before I move on to my more full bodied projects in Unity that I've been working on concepts for.

Yeah, one thing I've learned is to start small and keep the scope manageable (feature creep with sneak up on you haha)
