It's a great show. Just look up robotech on Netflix or youtube 
It's also an older anime from the early 80s and so the animation might be weird... and the international version was made by taking 3 separate shows and combining them into one by slightly alerting dialogue but it's still pretty great.
My favorites are the mechanism motorcycles tho ;D
