Inspired by: [link] and *AmuroWolf 's use of gel pen.Postcard (x4ACEO) trade with =TwilitTiger of their character, Alakai. I loved drawing this character, so I hope you like the way it finally came out! Materials are prismacolor marker, colored pencil and white gel pen. Check out =TwilitTiger 's awesome half below.

Just curious but how'd you make the shiny white parts on the wolf's nose?
Did you draw around those parts, or do you have a pen that has white ink or something?

Thanks! The nose was colored first with black prismacolor marker and then I went over the top with white and light grey colored pencil and then back over the top with some white gel pen highlights. White gel pen is one of my favorite materials - they work wonders for highlights!

Oh my god, Alacai looks awesome! ;o; More importantly you got his fur color right, thank god |D I really love your use of white gel pen here! It gives a really nice crackly effect <3 I've tried to do that with watercolors with this method I found online with glue. It's not as exaggerated as I'd like, but it's nice :'D ANNNNYWAY I really love how you did him, and I'm glad he got some love, he usually doesn't <33 Thank you so much! I can't wait to see him in person :'D

Haha, I am just glad that you like it! Even though it looks much more epic in real life with the sparkles and the right colors (the scanner always washes everything out a little). . . Yes! The crackly effect! This was the first time I tried it out, wanted to see what it would look like and I quite like the effect! I will try to get this packed up and sent out soon! I will note you when it ships!

Yeah. . my stuff always looks better in real life. . . A lot of the effects really get lost with the scan.
