SpongeBob is the most popular cartoon of all the time. A marine biologist Stephen Hillenburg has discovered something in the middle of the Pacific Ocean that those government people always test their nuclear bombs on called the Bikini Atoll. He decided to make a show series about a sponge that does goofy stuff and works at the restaurant. After the pilot, that show became so popular that SpongeBob is everywhere. After three seasons, Stephen has worked hard on making a movie about him back in 2004 and it became a hit, not only that but he clearly stated that before he leaves the Nickelodeon studio he said to the headers that it will be the last of his both work and the show itself. What did Nick do after Stephen's long retirement? They keep making more SpongeBob episodes without him for no reason, and ruin everything that he created. And now Stephen died of cancer, yet they still make more episodes without him like his show is a joke. Seriously, I hate it when Nick squeezes the sponge sperm out of SpongeBob to make more money and they will never realize how good SpongeBob was back in freaking 1999. Season after season they keep publishing, they are treating his show like it's a cartoon kids show, not an animated family show. They have even made spinoff shows about Patrick and how SpongeBob and his friends meet (NOT). Honestly I only liked the seasons from one to five like the first one hundred episodes. Every moment from the trilogy seasons are memorable and hilarious while the other two seasons are decent (some episodes are bad).
So without a delay, why do I like SpongeBob and why I dislike his further content? Let's set sail.

Let me start off of the concept of the show. Like I said, it's basically going to be about a sponge that does goofy stuff and works at the restaurant. Sounds boring, right? Actually, no. Each episode executes well of how Nickelodeon published something new besides their other show hits Avatar, Fairly OddParents, Hey Arnold!, and My Life as a Teenage Robot. It shows off the location of the real place Bikini Atoll, then in underwater it shows us the city of Bikini Bottom where SpongeBob lives in a pineapple as a house. Introduces characters that are written and what they have on purpose. SpongeBob is a kind-hearted adult sponge with disabilities that works at the Krusty Krab to be a fry cook to serve Krabby Patties and have lots of fun. Patrick is a dumb starfish that literally likes to do nothing. Squidward is a grouchy and sarcastic octopus that also works at the Krusty Krab but rather be a cashier, he is also very bad at playing his clarinet. Mr. Krabs is a greedy pirate-like crab that runs his restaurant to show love to the customers with his secret burger recipe and is very addicted to money, and he is also the father of a giant whale named Pearl. Sandy is an erotic and sassy squirrel that came from Texas so she can dive into the water with her suit on so she can breath some air, she is also very strong, learns science, and does karate. Gary is a snail that attempts to be like a cat so he can be SpongBob's pet. And Plankton is an evil genius that wants to steal the formula so he can rerun his restaurant Chum Bucket, and he is married to a computer named Karen. There are other characters like Mrs. Puff is the teacher of Boating School that is scared of SpongeBob, Larry is a muscle lobster, Pearl is a whale that is somehow the daughter of Mr. Krabs, Karen is literally a computer built to be a wife, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy are old superheroes, and there are funny background characters too.

The first season has the most palest color on everything which represent the color of underwater including some games made by THQ. So they introduce characters that are memorable and they seem to almost have more episodes than the other two seasons. There are even great moments that became so iconic like "FIRMLY GRASP IT!" and "MY LEG!". The second has really good episodes like The Fry Cook Games and Band Geeks, which also improves SpongeBob's look to make him a little more yellow and the pupils a little bigger. The third season has the best episodes like No Weenies Allowed, Chocolate with Nuts, Krusty Krab Training Video, and some specials like Ugh and Party Pooper Pants. The fourth season is decent, it does have some good episodes like Friend or Foe, Karate Island, Dunces and Dragons, Have You Seen This Snail?, and Best Day Ever based on a song from the movie. The fifth season is okay, it has great specials like WhoBob WhatPants? and Atlantis SquarePantis. As for the rest of the seasons, 6 7 8 and 9 are mixed while 10 11 12 13 and so on so forth is atrocious. The second four seasons have some good episodes but mostly stale, and the third four and further seasons have changed the animation look of all SpongeBob and his friends to make them now look like that they are in caffeine and completely changed the physics of the show where they just do whatever they want.

Don't get me started on the movies. The first movie was a masterpiece. I can see why Stephen Hillenburg worked so hard on directing, animating, and producing the movie by making the best plot ever with also the best execution to have around. The comedy is super funny, the animation is outstanding, and the characters are amazing, which is why everybody loves it. The second movie is solid, not as great as the first but does have entertaining moments with spectacular animation both 2D and 3D animated. I also like the villain Burger Beard played by Antonio Banderas which shows us the legend book of SpongeBob hidden on the other side of Bikini Atoll which causes the main cast to be superheroes. It may have some episode copies like the one where they were already on surface before and also became superheroes before, and I feel like the triangle shape for Bubbles is distracting for media programming sake, but the sequel is good too. This may sound controversial, but the third film is decent, I really like the new live-action animation improvement on SpongeBob and all locations and the moments are awesome. It did copy that missing Gary episode and the first movie but more in a more simplified way. I also like the human performances of Snoop Dogg and Keanu Reeves to make the movie even more entertaining. I hate the Kamp Koral crap they have dropped which disrespects Stephen's work but I gotta say that the rest of the movie is decently good yet the weakest one.

SpongeBob in total with great and bad stuff makes his series phenomenal and abysmal at the same time. I really like the first one hundred episodes and despise the further episodes they keep making. I do recommend to watch the show like everyone else but I suggest only stick to the trilogy seasons and one great movie, and maybe season 4 and 5 and two more movies at will. I'd like to give the marine biologist Stephen Hillenburg credit for making the show so popular that he is everywhere on the globe. SpongeBob himself agrees to continue his comedy on Nickelodeon further on and more.
Sucks that they overstated his welcome nowadays, but agreeable that SpongeBob is a great show.
