One thing I've been wondering about. So, at one point, in Disney's movie Beauty and the Beast, Gaston takes Belle's book and says "How can you read this? There's no pictures!" However, earlier, when Belle was singing and reading her book, it show that there's a very large picture.WHAT THEN, GASTON?

So there WERE pictures in the book after all! I guess Gaston didn't look hard enough.

If you look at the book in the right, the picture is much farther into the book than Gaston gets to. Also, the way he's holding it, it could easily flip by without his notice.
Furthermore, there's no antlers in it, how's he supposed to find it?

He didn't read the entire book. He just flipped through a few pages. XD

Obviously Gaston is referring to pictures that aid the slow (or female) reader.

Besides, that's a color plate in that book, to help even the most sophisticated reader immerse themselves into the story.
