Haha, I'm glad to hear that you love my part of our art trade~ Though I've never thought of them being related in some way xD

I had been doing scenes similar to this as of late, but they're on Twitter instead of being on dA. Besides, stories are fun, so what better way to have characters interact and show a slice of their world than to do this? ;D (I'm glad to hear that such a shop would work on Delicia XD I was afraid that the design might feel too modern)

I wanted to do Flare justice with her new design, so I'm glad to hear that! And yes, Munais needs her help to get that guy xD I didn't want to use speech bubbles for this, so yes ;D That little cameo is the guy of her dreams

And thank you for giving me a chance to do an art trade with you~ ;D No need to worry about when you may finish it, I shall look forward to the completed piece in patience!

I saw a bunch on Twitter yes! It's awesome you are willing to step out of the comfort zone and try complicated things such as backgrounds haha. I remember I had a lot of trouble with them back in the day lmao, I don't really have the patience/time anymore to do those kinds of things. It's a great way for world building   
To be honest, I think all kinds of shops would work in Delicia haha. It would probably be a good attraction for foreign people from all kinds of places to come there and start a bussiness in some way. The same goes for Flare I suppose!

Not to worry, for I still have trouble coming up with a background choice for these characters, especially my own I have been watching a lot of videos where an artist paints a scenery piece with watercolour or wet acrylic paint, so perhaps they have been influencing me on how to approach backgrounds :'D

Yeah, there's got to be something to draw these tourists in xD I can imagine Delicia having a night market of sorts that happens every weekend or so. Wait, so Flare is not a local to Delicia? o .o

Yes he is! c: Even though he is my main character like how Flare is to you, he's not the main focus of the stories I have for my characters. Sometimes he ends up being the side character in a story, or he's not there at all. Everyone like Munais here is a main character in their own stories :'D

I mean, you've also got those assignments to worry about I'd spent over a week on this piece, hence the dates I'd written down in the bottom-right corner :'D So no problem~

Ooh yes, some create stunning background that way *_* They sure are a great inspiration
Hahah I love how you come up with your own ideas for Delicia ^^ We already had markets in place, but a night market sounds even better!
And yes, our characters have some kind of backstory and some of them moved to Delicia for a new life including Flare~ Back in the day I thought it would've been a cool idea to make comic from Flare's perspective on how she came on Delicia and tell the reader about the island through how she experience things there.
It's also a good excuse for all the characters with different backgrounds living together in one place haha
Oh I understand what you mean, every now and then the main character of the story kind of changes for me too, but I think that's fair since we don't design OCs to just be side characters in the end haha

Haha I usually take longer than a week, but it kind of depends on my mood and such pff

That comic idea IS cool! You can show how each character Flare has met came to Delicia based on what she has heard about that particular character. Not only will it show parts of Delicia that they have been to, it can also show what she has heard from her customers in her cafe. :'D

Especially after we have given them something unique that our main character doesn't have haha. There's a lot of paths in life to explore, and while it is impossible to explore all of them, it doesn't hurt to explore some with these side characters.

That is so relatable haha I remember spending months on a simple piece because of a lack of motivation and my uncertainty to handle poses I'd never drawn before

Yess, I can imagine haha. I usually listen to podcasts while drawing or at internship~
I imagine Delicia being a relatively lively place with a kinds of cozy and fun things to do so a night market sounds perfect indeed haha
Ahh thank you c: Yes I can imagine her hearing all kinds of stories in her café and of course she's meeting lots of people. It's a good starting point for any kind of story~
I also like to kind of put two 'main OCs' in a room together so to say and see what comes out of it in terms of relationships and such. Sometimes it kind of gets a life of its own and creates something you don't particulary aimed for at the beginning~ Keeping things fresh I suppose

Ahh I feel you about the poses too, I've been wanting to do a few anatomy studies for ages now bwahah in hopes of improving on it

Certainly so! I can imagine that Flare and her pals would catch a rumour or spot something at or outside of her café.

Those kind of interactions help us to identify what makes both characters unique in their own way. Even if they share a few similarities, their differences will eventually blossom the longer that they are around each other. At least, that's what I do with my own characters whenever I'm worried that they may be too similar, in a way xD

You will improve as time passes by, haha~ Poses isn't something that we'd suddenly become better at, and if I know anything about my journey with anatomy and poses, it's changed a lot over the years. You'll do great at it!
