Sorry for the late response. Honestly I put alot of time into it (dunno how much). I'm planning to release something later to show how I myself like to preserve quality without making a direct trace of things (which vectoring often is... Even I do that now and then).

As for a 'howto', that's hard. Mostly because there are legions of programs to make vectors with, and some are better than others. But I can't tell you which, since that is up to personal preference. Most used are (I think) Illustrator and Photoshop.

You can check that out and maybe ask around here if there are any other guides around: .
But my best tip is, don't be afraid to put some time in it, it will show in the results.
