I picked Grookey for Shield, but Dal would probably go with Sobble if he had the chance.If he decides not to pick first, he'd basically be that third in the group who takes the 'mon you and your rival didn't choose. If I were you I'd just let him go first; he knows which one he wants and it'll narrow down your options if you can't decide.
