He's a little bit of both! It all depends on how much he knows you.

If he does know you, he'll happily walk right up to you and start a conversation.

But if he doesn’t, he sure as hell ain’t gonna talk to you first. Instead, he’ll wait for you to come to him, and if you never do, he’s never talking, no matter how badly he might want to.

It’s even harder if you’re trying to talk to Teen Dal in certain AUs, since at that age, a certain event has left him too terrified to talk to anyone other than his teachers and parents.

But maybe, if you’re stubborn enough, and can prove that you mean no harm, he’ll open up to you...
