Description During my recent trip to Connecticut, my brother and I searched for a rumored landmark aptly named 'Seldom Seen Pond'. Unfortunately, we never found it, but we did wander by Old Man McMullen Pond, pictured here.

My brother contemplated jumping in. I contemplated pushing him in. Instead, I took this photo. Besides, he was my ride back to civilization.

I used an antique-type filter on this one. It reminded me of going to summer camp back in the day, swimming in the dirty lakes and relaxing by the water. As much I as complain about summer camp, I enjoyed it. This photo took me back to those warm memories.

Wow, incredible shot! I love the complexity of nature at its finest.

It does hold a lot of emotion, and as you say, memories. It is so clean, and I like how your eye is drawn to the subject. It really makes you feel the involvement, like you are standing there or witnessing.

I wish I had more photography of people. Nobody I know ever likes it when I take photos, so instead I often have to be the subject hah. Either way, really nice shot!

Haha, yeah! I feel the same way about getting pictures of people. Unless you catch them unaware, it's tough to get a good picture. Thanks again!

XD That's the sort of thing my brother and I would do.. except, I'd probably be the one on the edge of the rock having a peak and my brother would be the one taking the photo and contemplating pushing me in. XD

Sounds like you two had a ball. :3

Such a beautiful shot! I love the reflections of the trees in the water.

Wise idea not pushing him in, if water's in the 60s in Texas, it's likely down in the 40s in Connecticut.

Thank you!

Yeah, that's probably true. It was unusually warm that day, but that doesn't mean the water was warm.

No problem! C:

Exactly. It's in the 80s daily here, but the water is freezing.
