Is it weird for me to want him to come at a bad time. Maybe a time where he hears Red(Fredrick) screaming, but once he assumes the worst... it's maybe just Ray giving a playful poke on his tickle spot, making him squeal in both shock and reflex.

To be honest, humans are rather fragile.
All he needs to kill one is:
1. Doctor-levels of knowledge of the human anatomy
2. A sharp object
3. Luck
Also, if his epic mount happens to be a rodent, he´s already got point 2 covered, and point 3 won´t be that much of an issue anymore.
Trust me, I´ve seen how bad a guinea pig bite can be.
