I didn't enjoy this movie either. Some of the characters in the movie aren't even in the book, such as Legolas, which was bull. I like the first one better

I adored the first movie but the second was not anywhere near good enough. The whole time I was like "Wtf? Was that even in the book?? What is happening to my beloved characters???"

и лес 5 км в обхвате - видно было, когда бильбо вылез, который за полдня и прошли, чуть не сдохли от усталости, бедняги))) то, что толкиену не следовали, еще ничего, у него тоже скучные места попадались. но все то, что поменяли, похоже на школьную сценку, или фанфик убогий, совершенно не к месту и в разброд)

I really loved this movie. I was worries Tauriel would have too much of a mushy love thing going on with Legolas but I was pleasently suprised by how much I liked her..

Tauriel was cool at first but got all Mary-sueish. I was half-expecting her to show up at the dragon's lair and punch him out.

LOL! I haven't seen DoS yet, but I hear snippets here and there so my expectations are pretty low, which I think is for the best. The romance sounds so absurd and fanficlike that I don't know whether I should roll my eyes or just laugh. I suppose that after seeing the Mirkwood stuff, movie-Gimli's "I asked her for one hair from her golden head; she gave me three" will sound like a Shakespearean sonnet to me.
