A commission I did for my brother. I really enjoyed painting this one. I hope that I have been able to capture Christ's spirit of love, mercy, tenderness, and forgiveness.Related content

Though I was raised a Catholic I am no longer (for many years now) a religous person but, has anyone ever stopped to think that if this person did exist and truly loved his children (that is you, me and all the world), then why is he (and his father) the biggest mass murderer('s) in the history of mankind?
If he does turn out to be real when I die, then Jesus, his father and myself are going to have one serious talk.....right after i have punched them both on the nose for all the misery they caused!

Why does he look European and have long hair? As a Jewish man of his period it makes no sense at all.
That said, the face is well rendered, although the hands are a little stumpy.

This is wonderful. I find it extremely intimidating to even think about drawing or painting Christ, that said, you did a wonderful job! I love it. The colors you choose are lovely and work well together and the clouds look beautiful.

Yes, it was definitely a bit intimidating to draw because it is Christ after all, and I didn't want to draw it badly! My brother is happy with how it turned out though, as am I, so I think I did okay!
