My Beloved is mine - and I am His

I love my King. Not because of what He's given me, not because He's given me access to Heaven, and not just because He saved me. I love my King because He's God! He is love. He lives within me, and His love flows through my veins. He looks at me and says: "My love for you is unconditional. It's not based on what you can or cannot give Me... No, My love for you is My very being. I am love, and I have chosen to give My love to you " And my desire is to give that very love back to Him. I want to love Him the same way. I desire to look at my King for Who He is - not what He can give me - and have His love flowing in me in such a way that I cannot help but reciprocate it to Him, and share it with those around me when it overflows.

I was reading a book lately called "Crazy Love" and recently came upon a chapter that spoke about loving God just for Who He is.
Often in this culture many people choose whether or not they desire to follow and love the Lord based off of what He did or didn't give them in the past, and it's a very unfortunate truth.
But that chapter truly challenged me to let the term 'unconditional love' not only be a concept that we've learned since Bible school - but to be something that I actively practice. Not just towards other people (though that is extremely important, according to the Word) but toward my King!

I believe that the Lord put this piece in my heart in order to manifest what kind of relationship I not only believe that we currently have, but to illiterate the kind of relationship with Him that I always desire and will actively pursue for the rest of my life, by the power and blessing of the Holy Spirit. I know that I am the one whom Jesus loves, and that He is the One that I love with all my heart and soul, and is completely and utterly deserving of all of me.

Some people may look at this and maybe find it to be... somewhat offensive. They may think, "Well, who do you think you are? Calling yourself the 'one whom Jesus loves?" "How dare you think that you can possibly have a relationship so intimate with Him?"

And to those people I say: well, He pursued me first, and I accepted the very fact that I am in fact the one whom He loves, and I let that love manifest into a confidence of that very love.
You would know exactly where I'm coming from if you were to take the time to really be still and take Him in, and let yourself embrace His awe-inspiring love and experience it for yourself in a way that abolishes any guilt and pride within you.
And I challenge everyone to do this!
Be still and know that He is your King. Let the Holy Spirit stir within you and draw you to embrace His unconditional love, accept and believe that it is for you, and let it morph into an reciprocating love for Him also that results in godly confidence
