Tai ´s feet couldn´t hold him any longer and fell to his knees, absolutely horrified.

-I am so sorry" said the older Nova , softly " When a kid becomes a digidestined..everything´s supposed to be an adventure...like being inside a videogame. Because adventures are supposed to be fun...without deaths" And she hugged herself, as trying to acquire a bit of strenght " But even inside a kid´s game, tragedy exists. And I remember saying to my friends, before passing out...

The younger Nova , bleeding to death on the ground, still managed to show a sweet smile and looked at Gomamon.

- I am so sorry, my friends. I am so sorry I couldn´t be the savior I was supposed to be... I...I ...wish I did better. Because...I actually like digimons very much...."

Gomamon stopped running and couldn´t help but scream with desperation.

- Oh no! Nova! Nova!!!!!

And so did the fallen digimons and even the Gods, despite not being able to move in their toy forms, were shedding a river of tears.

- Hang on Nova! You can do it! - begged Gomamon - You are a chosen one, aren´t you?! You promised to save everyone!!!!

But the little girl was slowly giving into the darkness.

- I can´t believe it...I am listening to Freddie Mercury right now- she murmured - ...Who wants lo live forever....

And she closed her eyes.

Tai, in his actual adult form, was having a real trouble witnessing that scene. It was something from the past, the actual girl was standing right in front of him...but he was literally crying his eyes. And so was Agumon! The poor little dinosaur type digimon cuddled himself with his human, never feeling so devastated...even during the final battle against Apocalymon!

And Rika Makino wasn´t in a better shape. Seeing through Ange, Angemon´s memories was beyond everything she witnessed in all her life. The angel was standing right in front of her yet seeing his death was shocking. Ok, digimons can ressurrect but that doesn´t mean it was right seeing them dying!

- It was awful, miss Makino- continued the angel - seeing my egg being snatched by another spirit..by another angemon. I did everything I could from breaking the barriers between the astral plane and the digiworld...but the barriers were too impenetrable. No matter how long I´ve been punching the walls, the walls only repelled my fists.

That memory was so fresh as it´d happened yesterday and not an entire decade. Being robbed of his rightful place by a stranger...and either the kids nor the digimons able to perceive that. The Angemon from that time was confused, hurt and desperate. He was supposed to be with his child and his child was taken from him!

- I..seee- replied Rika but at the same time she felt she understood nothing.

Nova´s digivice kept projecting the tragic memories.

- And so, I died - explained Nova in a low voice. Seeing her younger version´s death was still pretty shocking, even if she revisited her memories many times. But hell! That was an event that even after so many years, she had trouble getting past of - But the digivice kept recording everything. Damn Piedmon! He enjoyed the whole thing as if he was in a party!

And the scenes showed the evil clown taking his sword off the girl´s chest and putting her over his shoulder. After some laughs, he took a lep and landed on the top of a mountain.

Tai and Agumon were ready to punch the images, such was their rage and frustration!

- WHAT THE F..?!- Shouted the digidestined of Courage- What´s he doing ...oh no, no! no!

Piedmon had the intention of throwing Nova´s body from the top of the mountain.

- DON´T! DON´T YOU DARE! - Screamed Agumon, throwing a fit of fire from his mouth - LEAVE HER ALONE! YOU ALREADY FINISHED HER!!

Piedmon , of course, didn´t hear that. It was just a memory.

- I remember trying to get rid of two little kids. The keepers of Light and Hope. I tried to capture them and ended pushing them...but Holy Angemon showed up and robbed me of my triumph! Of my vengeance! But not anymore!! - he said- Because there are no angels in this doomed world, none showed up in this whole year. And I killed a digidestined! I WON! I FINALLY WON!

And threw the girl.

Tai couldn´t take it anymore, he felt so sick that he almost passed out. Adult Nova and Agumon rushed to his side.

- Oh no! - Nova cried- Are you ok?! - and she stopped projecting her memories.

The guy nodded.

- I won´t show anything else- she added- I didn´t mean to make you ill...I´m sorry!

But Tai managed to regain his smile and replied with a gentle tone:

- Please, Nova. Go on...I want to know more. Because you are standing in front of me, you somehow survived..didn´t you? A miracle is about to happen and I want to see it....please, keep showing your memories.

Meanwhile Rika lost it. She began to deliver some hits toward Ange´s chest.

- WHY?! WHY ?! WHY?! - she was crying like a baby- I WAS FINE UNTIL I MET YOU! NOW I CAN´T KEEP HATING YOU ANYMORE...!!!!! WHY DID I HAVE TO LISTEN THE SADDEST STORY OF ALL TIME?!

And Ange ended giving the tamer the loveliest embrace she ever had.

- Because you are a nice girl and you want to protect everybody....
