Description
Argeleb ("silver king", Sindarin) was born in TA 1226, he became king of Arthedain in TA 1349. During his reign, the royal lines of Rhudaur and Cardolan had died out, so Argeleb claimed sovereignity over all of Arnor, addid the royal prefix "ar" to his name. Thus, he was the seventh king of Arthedain and the 17th king of Arnor. While Cardolan accepted his claim, Rhudaur had allied itself with Angmar, and refused Argeleb as its king. Argeleb was killed in TA 1356 fighting evil men after having ruled for only seven years. About that time, the remaining Stoors lef the Angle and either returned to Wilderland or journey west along with the other Periannath.
