oh my gosh.. As a thumbnail, it look like a picture of a human... >.< This is detailed and it looks so real! I wish i could draw like this! I found a new favorite artist! I don't do critiques that often but i guess it wont hurt to do one for this.. This is amazing! I have no other words to describe the beauty of this piece. Awesome! It looks amazing! It looks like a real life picture one almost... but its amazing! I loved it a lot! you should be a senior member of deviantart! I should give this 10/10! because of the colors,hair styles,eyes,mouths,and everything! I love how you draw! The title to this picture is very appropriate. She knows that in killing herself that she will be hurting others that were either close to her or dependent on her, or even both. Going by the title she understands that what she is doing is very selfish.
She is very young, the smoothness of her skin testifies that she is young. To think that she would stick a knife in herself in a bathtub is very telling about the problems that she is facing. Women and girls like to be in a hot tub to unwind and relax; be there to forget about whatever responsibilities they may have or whatever is pending for a time. For her to commit suicide by knife in a hot tub means that her problems are really nagging at her; she has problems that don't allow her to have any peace or rest.
When women deal with problems, especially problems with people, their minds continually keep going over various details and memories to make sense out of the problem, person, or event. They can't just consider a number of things all at once the way that guys do, and just come to a final conclusion. So in the picture this means that her mind has gone over various past and future details and events. And up to this point she honestly hasn't been able to find a solution. She has no faith that her current problems could ever get better. She really sees herself going on to live a future that isn't real or that is very burdensome.
She looks the kind that would stab herself in the sternum or in the belly. But I couldn't see herself sliding her own throat.
The color scheme is not dark, depressing, or tragic. This picture has the feel to it that someone is going to come in at the right time to save her from herself. This looks like a single picture to an all out good movie with a good story. I don't see this ending tragically. If there is a story to this picture I would like to know about it. Never mind what other people picked and nagged at in this picture. You simply did a good job! You did a good job at conveying an emotion and impact without distracting your viewers with too much color or sexuality.

First off: beautifully captured! I love what you've done with this piece, more specifically the water. You've done a fantastic job at capturing that wet texture on the area's of her body and face.
I agree with the critiques above about the necklace, having it submerge above the water may have done it more just, but overall I like it nonetheless.
There is something I'd like to address though about the hair. It seems a bit dull, not because you've poorly, or failed to draw realistically. Her hair I feel should be draped down more towards the tub of water and soap. Instead its laying a bit too much on her shoulders.
Overall you've done a great job at capturing the emotion in this piece!

*Applauds * Well done my fellow artist,well done. This picture is a true work of art , I love how the light directly on her gorgeous face and on the bloody blade. There are so many words to describe this master piece. Amazing , fantastic, inspiring, beautiful , original ,unique , and simply Breath taking. I am no processional but I know any professional would say this is mind blowingly amazing. There is so much to say out this picture I just don't have the right words to say about it. But that is all I have to say and going to say about it . So bravo continue to make master pieces.

It looks like she's covered in oil. Water and soap doesn't look like that. And the boobs look anatomically a little off. Too much puffiness at the upper part for a woman lying down. Maybe the shine effect also adds to it.
I like the idea of the knife and blood. The soap bubbles look pretty good at the places where the foam is thick, they could have looked better at the edges where single bubbles are seen but I know it's hard to pull that off realistically, and I don't know for how much realism you were going for. You obviously spent a lot of time and effort on the pic. It's overall good.

I agree, this is a wonderful piece. I have to disagree with the above critique on one point, the right ear coloring seems right. It is wet and reflecting the color of the tub, the hair around it seems more the issue, as it is not reflecting the color.
I could be wrong on this and it is minor, but the necklace could probably use a little more foreshortening. and the bubbles below the right hand would probably carry a little more flesh tone where the skin is nearer the surface of the bubbles.
That is it for criticism, now the good stuff: The skin looks perfect. those highlights are amazingly well done. The tub itself is rendered beautifully and the bubbles look painstakingly well done. The shadows across her face are dynamic and interesting. People often lose detail within shadows, but you have kept the detail and her beauty intact.
I would give this a solid 4 out of 5.

I do declare my friend that this, is a very beautiful piece. The way you did the hair was amazing and very detailed, also the face was very well textured, yet I was wondering about the right ear. I seems a bit discolored in my opinion, for that would have been an appropriate thing to do if there was another light source, or if there was a surface in which light was reflecting off of. The shoulder was done with a shadow and, along with the light source angle and lack of bubbles for the light to reflect through or off of, I find that area a bit off.
Speaking of bubbles, along her shoulders, breasts, and knee there is a white lining. I understand that that line was most likely needed to indicate where the bubbles would go, but now it seems a bit odd, for it gives the idea that the bubbles are under water.
A minor oddity I see is with the nose for there is a semi-blended part where the nose should have stopped, the philtrum would have began and ended at the lip yet the philtrum seemed to have merged with the nose yet it shouldn't have done that.
Another thing that bothers me is that the necklace needs a shadow. I presume that it's supposed to be round, but the way you drew it, makes it seem as if the gem should be round.
Finally, my last remark would be about the expression on her face in accordance to the fact that her grip upon the blade seems to be harsh. Since she griping it so harshly she should have some semblance of an expression on her face. Examples would be a, grimace, a cease of the brow, or a closing of the eyes.
