I love your depiction of Starswirl, when Twilight cosplayed him I got the idea of him being a pony-fied version of Merlin, which is totally possible with Canterlot and the Royal Wedding. Most people connected Chrysalis switching places with Cadence as a reference to Disney's The Little Mermaid, but before that the fact that Chrysalis is a changeling Queen refers to the King of Camelot marrying a troll in disguise of a Lady with Merlin trying to convince him she wasn't human.
BTW your windigoes are awesome.

Lauren is a mother of Discord (adopted or natural born?) sent him to the Harmony school to which she is a principle with Starswirl attending the same school and perhaps sooner or later Celestia coming into picture? As a Romance or Threemance option?
And the whole take over the world while mom's not looking later.

Try to compare an original design of the shape of their heads. I really dislike, that their heads quite alike. Still there is reason, since it's horse's head.

Its just the fact that they get really narrow when you follow their muzzle towards the tip and then gets wider again.
