I've been mulling over the same thing.  Preferably a setup using a complete "Star Trek" Federation uniform (like the TOS/2009 miniskirt or the "Into Darkness" gray uniform) as the base, then adding ship parts concentrated in a way that reflects the "Azur Lane" design (almost the whole carrier hangs off of her left arm, her island is incorporated into her bow weapon on the other side, and she has what looks like hull parts on her boots but otherwise that's it, a very "clean" look for a kanmusu), and preferably doing it in such a way that would not make it too difficult to cosplay in case one of my friends might want to try it (I'm part of a bunch of friends who cosplay the "Star Trek" characters - I'm their Sulu).  Hmm...

Yep. Actually, the version of Sulu I cosplay is, in fact, the older Captain Sulu.

Thanks - you, Vic Mignogna and a whole bunch of people I've met at conventions alike, heh! It's a unique one-off that someone had made because they liked the blue color of the TOS science division and wanted to combine it with the TWoK uniform design.

Speaking of which, I need to colorize those design plans for Enterprise-chan at some point. I had drawn the parts in such a way that I could hopefully at least commission fanart, if not get them built in the future (they are designed to be buildable for cosplay purposes).

In the meantime, I wound up tinkering with her big sister Yorktown instead... 😅
