I don't honestly know much about what I'm supposed to say, this being my first critique and all, but I know something I need to say.
You did an absolutely amazing job and I did a double take at first. I thought it was a real picture until I looked at the background which is purposely not as detailed (I'm guessing) to focus more on the beautiful creature you have given life to on paper.
Wolves are one of my favorite animals and you drew this as if he were to get his attention caught by something and think 'squirrel!' Which of course made me laugh as my own dog tried to chace a squirrel and fell over herself earlier today. I loved the thoughts your painting put in my head. Fantastic work.
Honestly to sum all if my words up into one sentence, I love your masterpiece.

This is one of my first critiques, but this was too amazing to not critique.
Anyway.
Vision: Spot on, for me it's hard to believe this isn't a photograph. You seem to of got almost all the pieces of fur on the wolf exactly in place. And the realism is over the top! But since it is in soft pastel it does make the HD a tad blurry, but since you were using soft pastel, that's absolutely fine.
Originality: Well, I've seen quite many wolf drawings in my days which doesn't make the drawing too original. And since you were looking off a photograph for it too, that also doesn't make it very original.
But I do not see many drawings of this type of wolf, normally wolves I see are gray or white or similar looking to a Siberian Husky. The setting is also fairly original, because other wolf drawings are usually in the snow or a mountain.
Technique: Hmm.. Well what I can say is that the technique is practically perfect and amazingly realistic. Also, the eyes. The eyes are very realistic to me. I cannot draw eyes like that nor fur(but probably because I'm not nearly as talented as you). The pose is cute too, and I do like how the background isn't sticking out as much unlike the wolf, which is really sharp and catches the eye quickly. I love how you did that. Very good.
Impact: It really just depends on the person, but to me this drawing is quite peaceful and perhaps a little mysterious, because you never know what he is looking at. The setting is beautiful and thoroughly detailed, and somewhat unique for the wolf, and.. that's really all I can think of for this category, lol.

I am just amazed of your good job!
At first - when you look at the eyes of the wolf, they could be real. You have caught the look of a wolf.
Personally I like more the fur in its head than in its body. But you're done both so well.
The wolf is made so sharply which is so good. But the background is like a opposite of it because it's not any kind of sharp but it lets the character to be the main point in the picture. It feels like the wolf is in a soft and irresolute forest. That's not bad but I was just wondering that if the background was sharp, could it change the feelings we have when we look at this..?
Okay, the artist is you and you have chosen that way to do it! And you are so talented and everything.. I trust that you have done in the right way!

This piece is absolutely stunning. The way you have used different tonal values and contrasting shades of dark and light make the picture pop.
His pose suggests that something in the distant has caught his attention, which adds various questions which confront us when looking at this. It adds realism and a natural flow.
The background seems slightly hazy, which also helps shift the attention to the beautiful wolf.
The detail of his fur is wonderful, looking wild and natural. The whole thing is stunning and gorgeous and I would love to congratulate you on you work. Keep up the amazingly wonderful art!
