I've finally finished this piece about a week of tweaking. I have to thank because It was her dark elf pieces in her gallery that inspired me to try my own version of our favorite dark elf race!
I'll be putting this up as my official first print since I'm very happy with the way it turned out!
I hope you all like it. It's only my second piece I've ever painted on PS and I'm still learning!

Where have I been that I didn't see this when you originally posted it? Yikes! That sh*#'$ insane! So much texture. Makes my head hurt. Never would I even attempt something as ambitious as this. Very impressive my friend!

LOL You are too nice Lauren! This was the first piece I ever colored in Photoshop. If you ever see the original, you'll notice that I hand painted all the textures. (I didn't know how to do textures back then so I did it the old school way)

I think I remember watching you color this at MLG. This is absolutely gorgeous! That's some really intense armor right there. I also like how it looks like she's posing at a photography studio.

heh heh thanks. I think you saw me showing Tim how I painted it from the original PSD file. yah I'm really surprised how good this turned out! It took me a hell of a long time to finish it though and I wish I could paint faster...

Thanks! It's a lot different than my normal style and it was fun painting it in PS.... If only I can figure out Painter!!

Great level of details on the armor and weapon. The hair is good too, but I love the armor the most.
Then the drow/dark elf wearing the armor herself - a very nice pose and good expression on her face, very cold and haughty. The shadow in the background is a nice added detail, giving the painting a sense of depth.

Thats really nice lookin, the detail on the armor is great! Something about the left forearm armor seems odd though, maybe it's the elbow bracer.

thanks I'm glad you like it! the elbow does seem odd but that's actaully what it looks like.. I referenced the elbow guard from a 16c. english armor I saw when I was at the NY museum of art. If this was a "real" armor I don't think she'd be able to straighten her arm that way anyways since the arm guard would prevent that kind of movement! heh I'll just blame it on Dark elf craftsmanship for the added "flexibilty" she has.
