My version of a not-yet-written scene from *Capt-BA 's awesome fic The Dragon and the Wolf .This doesn't mean that I like - or even condone - Sokkla. 'Cause I don't. Nope, not me.
I just couldn't get the scene out of my head, which is kind of weird, because it hasn't actually happened yet. 
And it might not ever happen either! Unless you go badger about it! Go! Go! GO!!!
Without telling you everything - or anything - about the story (which you really should go check out).... Uh... Where was I? Oh, right! Azula is testing Sokka's mad skillz in strategy. She knows the right answer, of course, but she might be impressed anyway. And she might even use the information. And she might be on the run from the teeny weeny cutesy little ship in the background. Or maybe she isn't. I'm not sure. Go read the fic.

As much as Azula loved being mother to Sokka's children and found navigating the arcane politics of the Water Tribes quite entertaining, she was still a soldier of the Fire Nation. She loved nothing more when the Avatar's attempts at diplomacy failed and Zuzu sent her and her husband to teach various fools to understand the folly of defying the Will of the Council in their last few moments alive.

Sokka looks a lot like Zuko here, I've first took him for Zuko, when I saw him.

Okay, so it's taken me three freaking months to comment. Very, very sorry. There's one very important thing I want to make sure is stated at this point: I was not -- was not -- petulantly refusing to acknowledge how perfectly you'd rendered Princess Azula again. In no way. At all. Totally.
So. You've perfectly rendered Princess Azula again. Strong regal stance, bored-yet-contemplative expresssion, neutral, guarded expression. You even nailed those pretty lips of hers. ^^ Colors are spot-on and well-balanced. It's hard to get all those shadoes of red in there and make them all stand out. I like the hair; hanging low like that puts a point on how her royal hair ornament is gone and all the implications of that fact. And it also exploits how good 'Zula looks with her hair out of that topknot. ^^
Huh? Sokka's here too? Oh, whatever...
...Oh, fine. -_- The hands jump out at me first. They're both posed at tricky angles and you did a great job building a natural pose for the situation, one that gets across the pain he's in and the determination he's showing. He's in pain, and the crutch makes it clear just how severe his injuries are, but he's not leaving that map table until the job is done. I like the goatee; it's a staple of older-Sokka fanart but by making it less obtrusive, you actually make it look better.
What's interesting here is that he's wearing Fire Nation colors. The scene seems to be the cabin of a Fire Nation warship, too. And judging by the condition of the poor dope, it's anyone's guess if he's there by choice or by force. Is 'Zula forcing him to plot out some crucial point of a Fire Nation invasion? Or is Sokka helping a repentant princess stop some greater threat, one that may have already put him in the state he's in now?
Who cares, Azula looks great. XD
