I haven't loved a ship this much in a long time. This ship isn't canon, but I think Ami and Makoto would be a sweet couple. I like the contrast of their personalities: Ami is calm and shy, and Makoto is energetic and bold.

For this artwork, I didn't feel like doing proper line art. Instead what I did was make two sketches, a rough one and a cleaner one. I thought after the second one, I'd draw the final, clean lines, but I decided not to and cleaned up the second sketch. Then I colored and shaded with a messier, more painterly style than usual. I wouldn't call this piece a "colored sketch" because it's not that rough, but it's more finished. And I like how this style turned out. I'm especially proud of how Makoto's hair looks because it reminds me of a warm tea.

What do you think? Should I create more art in this sketch/painting style? Also, I'm curious to know, are there any other MakoAmi fans here?
