The God of Abundance & Good Health, guardian of children. He grants good luck in health and popularity, and his item is his bag (which is full of gifts for those he sees fit).

2. JUROJIN

The God of Long Life and Wisdom, guardian of the elderly. He grants good luck in wisdom, and his item is his staff. Some say he is the incarnation of the southern polestar.
3. FUKUROKUJU

............... ADOPTED by
The God of Happiness, Wealth & Longevity. He grants good luck in longevity, and his item is his scroll, which contains the lifespans of all living things. The crane and the tortoise are his symbols.

4. BISHAMONTEN

............... ADOPTED by
The God of War and Battle. He grants good luck in all battles (physical and metaphorical), and his item is his spear, which seeks out bad luck and banishes it. He wards off evil spirits and protects those he sees as worthy.

5. BENZAITEN ("Benten")

............... ADOPTED by
The Goddess of Knowledge, Art & Music. She grants good luck in beauty and the arts, and her item is her biwa (Japanese lute). The Torii and the lotus flower are her symbols.
6. DAIKOKUTEN ("Daikoku")

............... ADOPTED by
The God of "the great darkness" of the sky, and of Wealth & Trade. He grants good luck in commerce and harvest, and his item is Uchide-no-Kozuchi, a magical hammer of fortune that can create whatever he wishes for when it's tapped. His symbol is rice bales and he is usually seen with mice nearby.
7. EBISU

The God of prosperity and patron of merchants & fishermen. He grants good luck in wealth and business, and his item is his fishing pole.
