("Mega Man" series: Owned by Capcom)

Here's my Robot Master counterpart of GateMan from "MegaMan Battle Network 2", folks! It's Gate Man, a robot whose Remote Gate floats in front of the user as a makeshift shield while the Fire button is held down... but once it's released, the gate will suddenly open up to refeal a hand that shoots forward in an attempt to strike enemies before disappearing! It's also handy for grabbing items from long distances (especially if they're on the other side of large pits that are teeming with pesky pit-jumping enemies)!

GATE MAN
(Weapon: Remote Gate)

Created in England as an experimental robot, Gate Man gets his name from the gate on his chest, which can open up to reveal a vast "dimensional space" that can house just about anything inside of it, ranging from miniature robotic soldiers (which he calls his "Gate Soldiers) to even a powerful cannon that sends him reeling backwards whenever he fires it. His Remote Gate is a duplicate of his gate that can be used to either release objects from afar, serve as a makeshift teleportation unit for him to travel within or trap anything it closes around within its dimensional space (which is said to resemble some sort of purplish-black void). Lately, he's been thinking of working in the storage unit business with the intent to make good use of his Remote Gate, much to the delight of his creator.

Despite his towering height and intimidating appearance, Gate Man is actually a rather cultured individual who always makes sure that absolutely NOTHING goes missing (no matter how big or small it is). Due to the void within his gate, he's developed a bad habit of hoarding dozens of things within it (though he's trying his best to keep it under control with the use of therapy). If there's one thing he greatly detests, it's anyone who tries to steal anything. In fact, he'll immediately slam his gates shut on anyone (yet be careful enough to not catch their fingers or even their hands in order to avoid hurting them unless push comes to shove) who tries to slip into his gate.
